




MS Outlook supports IMAP/POP3 and Exchange accounts, thereby enabling you to configure your Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, Exchange, and other email accounts. After launching Outlook for Mac and/or after clicking the 'Send & Receive' button, it says it is syncing then says 'All folders are up to date'. Deleting and re-adding the account in Outlook for Mac doesn't seem to help, nor does reinstalling. If I set this account up on the same Mac in a VM using Office 2016 for Windows, it works just fine. You can convert an IMAP account to a POP3 account, but you'll lose the in-the-cloud syncing capabilities. Outlook versions 2010 through 2016 will (usually) force you into the IMAP camp. To set the root folder path for your IMAP account. Solution: Check if the path to your Inbox is set in your Outlook 2016 settings. Symptoms: Outlook 2016 is only pulling emails from subfolders. Strangely, my Online Archive DOES sync, and folders under the Inbox also sync. Hey Steve, I have similar issues with a similar environment: Exchange 2010 SP3 Update Rollup 10 (Not Hybrid) Outlook 2016 for Mac either doesn't sync or stops syncing the Inbox.
